The latest version has removed a ton of features and added a bunch of flashy UI, which is useless. Core features are gone. Now I can't remotely connect to my home server. The previous version allowed you to enable unencrypted connections in settings, but this version doesn't even have a place to set it. Getting worse and worse. Hope your company goes bankrupt soon!

The new version of the app is almost entirely focused on promoting streaming features. It seems to have forgotten that it started as a self-hosted media server. To put it bluntly, it's forgetting its roots. Releasing it without proper language support also disrespects Chinese users. Rushing this app out like this – do you want to end up like Sonos?

Each update removes more features, right? Extremely disappointed with this upgrade! No Chinese in the new UI, I can tolerate that, but why remove homepage customization? I just want to use it as a local streaming database. I used to be able to keep the permanent database in the hamburger menu to avoid unwanted live and online content on the homepage. Now not only can't I remove it, but it also occupies three permanent bottom bar icons. Also, the old version could access not only the video database but also photos and music – not anymore. At least music has a more updated AMP alternative after all these years, but isn't it too hasty to remove the photo database access from the main Plex app when Plex Photos still has so many unfixed bugs (like causing memory leaks on the Plex server) and missing features (like not supporting user-curated photo playlists)? - If you can't develop a good photo database client, don't casually remove a function that still works (and is arguably the only one that works properly) from the main app!
